The TLD Shoot Back Device (TLD-SBD) has been designed to add an offensive retaliation for troop training.
The unit is a base mounted device that houses a .68 Caliber paintball marker. The unit is self contained, including the controls and CO2 canister. A single cable is used to interface to the TLD.The unit is constructed from a lightweight but durable aluminum alloy. The unit is powder coated to match the standard SSI lifter unit. Rubber feet provide traction to keep the unit from sliding when it is fired. The unit also has the clearance holes in the base plate for mounting.
A pivot arm is used to adjust the angle of fire for the device. When the desired trajectory has been set, a locking handle can be tightened to keep the unit from moving. A test fire button is included on the control box to allow the operator to set the unit prior to running a simulation.
