Recent Studies have shown that without continuous training, military casualty rates dramatically increase. Due to recent events, this study has become even more important, and the need has sharply arisen for a mobile target training system for the US military. To accommodate this ever-growing need, SSI presents it's RIAB (Range In A Box) system. RIAB is a new wireless "smart target" system that can deployed in multiple terrains with minimal setup. Soldiers can now deploy targets onto a range and set up custom scenarios quicker and easier than ever!
RIAB incorporates our TLD (Target Lifting Device.) Our TLD units incorporate revolutionary technology, allowing for smaller size, and cutting-edge technology at a lower price. Our devices have all controls and wireless units on-board and are completely rechargeable. Maintenance is quick and simple with our TLD Devices. All internal components are accessible after removing only a thumb screw. TLDs are capable of lifting targets up to 20 pounds, allowing for an array of targets to be used. Our TLD units interface with our custom HMI (Human Machine Interface) software, which is installed Panasonic Toughbook 19 MIL-STD-810F compliant convertible tablet PC. Our HMI software is very "user-friendly" and can be learned quickly.
Because the RIAB system is completely wireless, it has virtually endless configuration possibilities. Our RIAB system uses IEEE 802.11b/g standards, with 128-bit encryption, for secure connections. 802.11b, also referred to as 802.11 WiFi, is able to be used at greater distances. This allows the routers to be separated by a great margin. In return allows the RIAB System to be used in a wide area. 802.11g is used to create a connection with a high data rate (20- 54mbps) with our RIAB systems. Which gives you real time training.
Our trailer system features a charging / storage trailer or crate for all components. Our trailer, capable of housing and charging 26 TLD units, the enclosure incorporates two large cabinets, for storage of target silhouettes, and an overhead cabinet for storage of tools, Panasonic Toughbook, and miscellaneous hardware. Our trailer is easily attached to any truck or SUV (with correct hitch and ball) to become completely mobile.
Our crate system features a charging / storage crate for all components. Capable of housing and charging 24 TLD units, the enclosure incorporates a large bin on top to store target silhouettes, as well as drawers for the Panasonic Toughbook, tools, and miscellaneous hardware. Our crate is easily transported with most any type of forklift.
